ART BOOKS
“THREAD ON THE BORDERS OF THE LABYRINTH”
There are 29 art books created by contemporary artists, based on the proposal and initiative of the artist Yannis Markantonakis: “...The exhibition entitled ‘Thread on the borders of the Labyrinth’ took place from June to October 2022 at the ‘Space’, as a parallel event in the framework of the 1st Chania Book Festival, with the international participation of writers, under the direction of Manolis Pimplis...”. The art books were donated by Lefteris Vergerakis, Sofia Vlazaki, Giannis Dialinos, Vicky Kamenou, Eirini Kana, Amalia Karkoulia, Zoi Kollarou, Stella Koukoulaki, Giannis P. Markantonakis, Pantelis Markantonakis, Stavroula Mavromataki, Maria Michelogianni, Lamprini Boviatsou, Vaso Mylonogianni, Dafni Mylonogianni, Grigoris Niolis, Pagona Xenaki, Kostas Pagomenos, Manolis Petrakis, Vaso Protopapadaki, Vangelis Roussos, Chrysoula Skepetzi, Kostas Spanakis, Eirini Tsiraki, Konstantinos Fischer, Eva Charalampidou, Anna Charchalaki, Antonis Frantzeskakis, Evi Fotopoulou. This special installation of the Museum of Typography was designed by the architect Aristomenis Varoudakis, while the exhibition was curated by the museologist and art historian Myrto Kontomitaki.
