Awards ceremony of the 6th International Poster Contest 31/10/2021

The awards ceremony of the 6th International Poster Contest organized by the Museum of Typography of Giannis and Eleni Garedaki will take place on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 6 pm at the Center for Mediterranean Architecture, Grand Arsenal, in the Venetian harbour of Chania.

The competition ended with 628 entries from 68 countries, bringing Chania and Crete to the forefront of visual communication designers from around the world.

After the ceremony, the poster exhibition with the thirty works that stood out in the competition, will be hosted in the amphitheater of the Museum of Typography for about a year, until the next competition.

The program of the event includes:

- Welcome speech by Giannis Garedakis, founder and Chairman of the Board of the Museum of Typography

- Presentation of the competition by Elia Koumi, director of the Museum of Typography

- Short speeches by the members of the jury:

• Giannis Belimbasakis, Assistant Professor, Engraving Laboratory, Department of Fine and Applied Arts, School of Fine Arts, AUTh

• Dimitris Papazoglou, visual communication designer

• Ariadne Perraki, CEO Perrakis Papers

- Awarding prizes and honorary distinctions to the winners of the 6th International Poster Contest.

A small reception will follow.
