Awards Ceremony for the 8th international poster contest of the Museum of Typography

On Saturday 25th May 2024, 11:30 am the Awards Ceremony for the 8th international poster contest organised annually by the Museum of Typography, at the Museum Amphitheater at Park of Local Industries, Souda, Chania,
Theme: "Racism – Xenophobia"

Program

12.00 Welcome speech by Yiannis Garedakis, Founder of the Museum of Typography.
Summary of the International Poster Contest, by Myrto Kontomitaki, Museologist, Art Historian.
Presentation of the Committee, by Eleni Foundoulaki, Journalist.

12.15pm Speeches by the members of the Committee, which is made up of:
Alexandros Kokkolas, Graphic Designer, Creative Director AKC and Professor at the Vakalo Art & Design College.
Ioanna Kostarella, Associate Professor, Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Katerina Lazaridou, Graphic Designer – Decorator.

1pm A 30-minute video of contest participants.

1.30pm Public vote of their favourite poster.

2pm Awards Ceremony:
The 1st prize will be awarded by Stavros Arnaoutakis, Governor of Region of Crete
The 2nd prize will be awarded by Manolis Apostolakis, CEO ETANAP-SAMARIA
The 3rd prize will be awarded by the Cooperative Bank of Chania
The public’s favourite prize, will be awarded by “Haniotika Nea” newspaper

2.30pm Small reception in the Museum halls.
